Trilegal X Law Schools

Trilegal is committed to the development of a strong legal ecosystem in India. As part of our vision, one of our key areas of focus is to engage with emerging legal talent and expose them to best practices and industry expectations.

We work closely with several leading law schools in India and have, over the years, co-created prestigious platforms for students to engage with.

NLS-Trilegal International Arbitration Moot and International Arbitration Conference

Trilegal and the National Law School of India University (NLSIU), Bengaluru, have jointly organised the NLS-Trilegal International Arbitration Moot since 2015.

As India’s only arbitration moot, it provides students with a unique opportunity to gain a working understanding of arbitration through simulated international arbitral proceedings. The moot has steadily garnered a reputation of dealing with cutting-edge issues in contemporary arbitration law and has attracted enthusiastic participation from India and abroad.

Alongside the flagship moot, Trilegal and the Moot Court Society at NLSIU also organise the International Arbitration Conference. The conference gives a unique opportunity to students, researchers, arbitration professionals, lawyers and corporate firms to engage on the latest legal and economic issues impacting international arbitration.

NLIU-Trilegal Summit on Corporate and Commercial Laws

Trilegal and the National Law Institute University (NLIU), Bhopal, jointly host the annual NLIU-Trilegal Summit on Corporate and Commercial Laws that discusses developments in the corporate industry and provides insights on emerging trends in India’s corporate and commercial laws.

The event encourages students, academicians and professionals to interact and submit papers on pressing issues in the corporate sector, including mergers and acquisitions, e-commerce, competition law, insolvency, securities and investment laws, commercial disputes, blockchain technology and capital markets. These submissions are peer-reviewed, and the finest articles are featured in the Summit Book. The authors also present these papers before a jury of legal luminaries. Over the years, the Summit has gained popularity with an overwhelming number of submissions from law students across the country.
