Overview
Aditi is a Partner in the Tax practice at Trilegal, New Delhi. She has an experience of over 10 years in advising diverse clients in the direct tax space.
She has handled transactions involving complex tax issues, both cross-border and domestic. Her experience includes advising clients on myriad merger and acquisition transactions including amalgamations, demergers, group restructuring and reorganisations, share sale, asset sale and slump sale transactions.
She has extensive experience in income tax advisory, including domestic tax, international tax, and transfer pricing issues. This includes matters such as interpretation of tax treaties, permanent establishment issues, taxation of non-residents in India, withholding tax-related issues, tax implications of inbound foreign investments including the choice of jurisdiction, repatriation of return on investment, and exit among others. Aditi has also worked comprehensively on nascent, new-age tax issues such as angel tax, equalisation levy, etc.
Aditi also has vast experience in advising clients across industries on employment-related tax matters such as secondments, compensation structure optimisation and advising on various types of incentive schemes such as ESOPs, phantom stock plans, stock appreciation rights, etc.
She has also represented clients before various forums, including tax authorities and courts and assisted them in devising litigation strategies, preparing submissions, filings with tax authorities, etc.
