Overview

Gauri Chhabra is a seasoned competition lawyer, leveraging over 15 years of extensive competition law experience. She has worked on a full range of competition law matters, including cartel enforcement, abuse of dominance, merger control, and competition compliance. She has represented Indian and multinational clients across sectors, such as airlines, cement, natural resources, and manufacturing, before the Competition Commission of India (CCI).

Over the course of her career, Gauri has worked on industry-defining mandates in competition law, securing unconditional approvals for high-profile global and Indian transactions. In the realm of merger control, Gauri is known for her practical and commercially sound advice. Over the years, Gauri has represented significant private equity clients and is adept at advising them on all competition law aspects.

Gauri was also part of the Law Firm Working Group that worked closely with the CCI on drafting the merger regulations and streamlining its procedures. She regularly writes for various publications on various aspects of competition law.
