Overview

Juhi is an arbitration specialist with extensive experience in complex, high-stakes cross border disputes. In addition to representing clients in ad-hoc and institutional arbitrations in India, Singapore, Paris, London, and New York, she has also acted in business-critical litigations and admiralty matters before Indian courts. Her experience as an English-qualified solicitor and a registered Foreign Lawyer in Singapore positions her well to support clients in navigating disputes across multiple markets.

Her practice cuts across sectors and includes digital payments, pharmaceutical, life science, maritime, shipping & logistics, infrastructure, and energy.  She is regularly engaged by venture capitalists, private equity firms, and high net worth individuals in their exit related disputes.

Juhi is a visiting faculty at the National Law School of India University, Bengaluru where she teaches international arbitration.

  • Earnout dispute: Successfully acted for Indian private equity funds in a Singapore-seated SIAC arbitration against a leading international e-commerce company concerning earnout and valuation issues.
  • Arbitration over global license agreements: Successfully acted for an American pharmaceutical manufacturer in a New York-seated ICC arbitration in its disputes against a multinational healthcare company.
  • Valuation dispute in digital payments: Successfully acted for India’s biggest fund that specializes in private equity and venture capital investments in technology companies in a shareholders’ exit dispute before a Singapore-seated SIAC arbitration.
  • Exit dispute: Successfully acted for Mauritius-based private equity funds in an India-seated ad-hoc arbitration and related court proceedings in an exit dispute.
  • Hydro-electric power project arbitration: Successfully acted for a Slovenian hydro energy equipment manufacturer in a Singapore-seated ICC administered arbitration against an Indian infrastructure company for breach of contract. Obtained protecting orders before Indian courts to secure the claim amount.
  • Maritime dispute: Acted for India’s largest shipping agency in its disputes in India and Singapore arising from a business transfer agreement.
  • Admiralty proceedings: Acted in admiralty proceedings involving the arrest of vessels.
  • Commodities arbitration: Successfully represented an Indian multinational supplier of organic products in arbitrations and associated court proceedings in India, the UAE, and the US against a US-based supply chain solutions company.
