Overview

Kunaal Shah’s primary practice areas are mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, private equity investments, real estate, finance transactions and dispute resolution. Kunaal has advised international and domestic clients on their joint ventures and investments in India, along with some of the largest international and domestic real estate focused funds as well as Indian real estate companies on a broad spectrum of transactions, including, property acquisitions, FDI , equity and debt investments and divestment in the real estate sector. His role involves managing title diligence, structuring investments, managing deals, drafting, reviewing and negotiating transaction documents. He has experience in high-value complex litigation involving offshore and domestic loans and bonds, and debt restructuring. He handles such litigation at the Supreme Court of India, various High Courts, the erstwhile Company Law Board, National Company Law Tribunal and the Securities Appellate Tribunal. His specialisation covers enforcement actions, recovery proceedings, shareholder disputes, insolvency and bankruptcy proceedings, and arbitrations.
