Overview

Maitreya Rajurkar is a Partner in the Capital Markets practice at Trilegal. He regularly advises on complex domestic and cross-border equity and debt capital markets transactions.

He has represented issuers, promoters, selling shareholders, private equity and venture capital investors, financial institutions and intermediaries across a wide range of transactions, including initial public offerings, follow-on offerings, qualified institutional placements, hybrid and stapled structures, block trades, preferential allotments, buybacks, debt refinancings, private and public placements of non-convertible debentures, international bond issuances, secondary sales and social financing.

Maitreya has advised on transactions across multiple sectors, including energy and transmission, banking and financial services, fintech, e-commerce, retail, manufacturing and industrials, real estate and infrastructure, logistics and supply chain, pharmaceuticals, data centres and food and beverages.

His work often involves complex, first-time or bespoke structures and matters requiring close engagement with regulators and other stakeholders. In addition to transactional work, he regularly advises on nuanced regulatory and corporate governance matters, including company law, securities markets regulation, listing requirements and exchange control frameworks for capital markets.
