Overview

Pallav Shukla is a Partner in Trilegal’s New Delhi office and part of the Dispute Resolution practice. Pallav focuses on white-collar criminal defence, internal investigations and high-stake employment disputes. Pallav has substantial experience in defending some of the world’s leading IT, aerospace, life sciences and defence manufacturing companies in anti-corruption and anti-money laundering enforcement in India. He has successfully represented clients in judicial review of related debarment actions by the government. Pallav is regularly instructed to pursue civil and criminal remedies for IPR infringement, breach of confidentiality/data theft, and financial and cyber crimes. He has strong trial credentials in, both, defence and private prosecution involving such cases.

He regularly conducts internal investigations, designs, and implements whistle-blower programs and anti-corruption training modules.

Pallav served as a law clerk to Mr. Justice S.H. Kapadia, then Chief Justice of India’s Supreme Court (2010-11), and briefly practiced criminal law as an independent counsel.

Pallav is a leading member of the firm’s Art Advisory practice. He is also a member of ‘Collections Legal’– which is a pool of independent senior lawyers to collectors, institutions, the art trade, and to artists and their estate. Pallav is also a full member of the Art Lawyers’ Association.

Pallav authored the India chapter of 2025 ‘AML and the Art Market Study’, which underscores the growing importance of anti-money laundering obligations in the art market, particularly for auction houses, galleries, and collectors.

He is currently working on the India chapter of the upcoming 4th edition of the Art Collecting Legal Handbook edited by Bruno W. Boesch and Massimo Sterpi.

Pallav was invited as a round-table speaker at the seminar – ‘Art 5.0 – How Technology has Changed the Way Art is Created, Sold and Exhibited’ organized by the Union Internationale des Avocats’ in Venice, in February 2025. He has also participated as a speaker at a seminar on art law at ArtMumbai – one of India’s largest annual art fairs.
