Overview

Thomas is a Partner in the TMT practice at Trilegal, with nearly a decade of experience advising on regulatory, transactional, litigation, and policy matters.

He regularly advises clients across a wide range of sectors, including artificial intelligence, e-commerce, telecom, social media, payments and financial services, and gaming. His practice covers a broad spectrum of issues, including data protection and cybersecurity, platform governance, content moderation and regulation, mapping laws, M2M and IoT, telecom service structuring, outsourcing arrangements, intellectual property, payments and digital lending structures, AI-related issues, and other emerging technology matters.

Thomas also advises on corporate and commercial transactions in these sectors, and has experience in disputes involving technology, and telecom issues. He regularly supports clients on strategic responses to cybercrime incidents, law enforcement requests for access to data, and related risk-management matters.

In addition, Thomas has advised a range of clients on policy mandates and government engagements concerning platform governance, data protection, mapping, the OSP framework, and AI regulation. He has also been part of the team representing private parties before the Supreme Court of India in the litigation challenging Aadhaar, India’s universal identity project.
