Apeksha is a Partner in the Corporate practice with a core specialization in Labour and Employment Laws. Apeksha showcases remarkable proficiency across diverse facets of employment and labour laws.
Her expertise encompasses critical areas such as workforce structuring, contentious senior management exits, reductions in labour force, closures, employee transfers, integrations, workplace harassment (including sexual harassment), and enforceability of restrictive covenants. Her role also involves addressing trade union matters, director and officer liabilities under various statutory labour enactments, notices from statutory labour authorities, compensation structuring, designing, and reviewing incentive schemes (including stock option, sweat equity, and restricted stock unit schemes) for various grades of employees, etc.
Apeksha’s advisory portfolio also includes immigration matters where, among other issues, she navigates criteria for visa grants and immigration rules for expatriates. and liaises with immigration agents on Foreigner Regional Registration Office (FRRO) registration and protocols. She regularly assists with employment audits, and investigations covering employee frauds, mismanagement, breach, and sale of confidential data by employees, which involves inter alia investigating charges, conducting interviews, preparing scripts for discussions with implicated employees, andcorrective steps for system cleansing.

Aparna is a Partner in our New Delhi office and is highly reputed for her expertise in competition law, with 19 years of post-qualification experience, of which 16 years have been exclusive to Indian Competition Law. She has played an important role in the finalization of the Indian merger control regime in 2011.
Over the years, Aparna has been involved in obtaining approvals for several high-profile combinations, involving remedies from the Competition Commission of India (CCI), across various sectors, including, pharmaceuticals, media & entertainment, technology, private equity and retail. She advices on competition law aspects across various industries and regularly undertakes competition compliance programs for various enterprises.
Aparna has a strong reputation for being responsive, solution-oriented and having an innate understanding of how the regulator thinks. She has assisted the Indian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association’s (IVCA) Regulatory Affairs Committee in making representations to the CCI in relation to the proposed amendments to the Combination Regulations, which could impact the private equity industry.

Ganesh Rao is a Partner at Trilegal and part of the Corporate practice group, specialising in asset management and funds. Shankh Sengupta is the Head of the Dispute Practice and specialises in commercial disputes and white-collar crimes. He regularly represents Indian and multinational clients in corporate and commercial disputes before various courts and tribunals in India. Shankh represents shareholders in disputes before the Company Law Board/National Company Law Tribunal, High Courts and the Supreme Court of India. A substantial part of his practice is conducting institutional and ad-hoc arbitrations in disputes arising from construction contracts, hotel management and other commercial contracts in India and abroad. Shankh has acted for several clients on the enforcement of foreign arbitral awards from foreign courts. He represents clients before investigative authorities such as CBI, ED and SFIO. Shruti Rajan is a Partner in the Mumbai office of Trilegal and specialises in contentious and non-contentious areas of financial services regulation.
