Deal: Trilegal advised on the stake sale by Adani Group in AWL Agri Business

Trilegal advised on the sale of 13,54,82,400 equity shares of AWL Agri Business Limited (formerly, Adani Wilmar Limited) (“AWL”) by one of its promoters, the Adani Group, through Adani Commodities LLP. The stake sale, aggregating to 10.42% of AWL’s share capital, was executed via a block sale through the stock exchange mechanism, with a total consideration of approximately INR 37.32 billion.
This transaction forms part of the Adani group’s complete exit from AWL and follows the earlier offer for sale undertaken through the stock exchange mechanism, which firm also advised on earlier this year.
The firm represented the broker, Jefferies India Private Limited.
