Trilegal advised the Book Running Lead Managers in relation to the initial public offering by NTPC Green Energy Limited (the “NTPC Green“) of equity shares aggregating to INR 10,000 crore (“IPO“). NTPC Green is the largest renewable energy public sector enterprise (excluding hydro) in terms of operating capacity. NTPC Green is promoted by NTPC Limited which is India’s largest power company both in terms of installed capacity and power generation.
This is one of the largest IPO in India this year. The proceeds of the IPO are proposed to be utilized for investment in a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green.
The syndicate of book running lead managers comprised of IDBI Capital Markets and Securities Limited, HDFC Bank Limited, IIFL Capital Services Limited (formerly known as IIFL Securities Limited) and Nuvama Wealth Management Limited.
