Chennai, 8 September 2026: Trilegal, a leading full-service law firm in India, is pleased to announce that the partnership has voted to welcome Promode Murugavelu and Karthika Menon as Partners in its Corporate Practice in Chennai, further strengthening the firm’s capabilities in one of India’s key commercial and industrial markets.
The appointments represent an important step in the continued expansion of the firm’s Chennai office and reinforce its commitment to building a fully integrated corporate offering in the region. Promode and Karthika bring significant experience across M&A, private equity and venture capital investments, corporate restructurings and general corporate advisory. Promode brings over two decades of experience advising on complex, business-critical corporate transactions and strategic matters. He has acted as a trusted adviser to promoters, boards, strategic and financial investors, institutional stakeholders, and leading Indian and multinational corporations, including Fortune 500 companies. He has particular depth in NCLT-approved restructurings and has built a strong practice anchored in long-standing client relationships, particularly across the South Indian market. Karthika has extensive experience advising financial investors, promoters and corporates across the investment lifecycle. Together, they have advised clients across sectors including healthcare, manufacturing, education and ed-tech.
