Trilegal advised DAM Capital Advisors Limited (“DAM Capital”) and the selling shareholders as their legal advisors to the proposed initial public offering of equity shares (“IPO”).
DAM Capital offers a wide range of financial solutions in areas of (i) merchant banking comprising equity capital markets, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and structured finance advisory; and (ii) institutional equities comprising broking and research. It is the fastest growing merchant bank in India by revenue CAGR from Fiscals 2022 to 2024 with the highest profit margin in Fiscal 2024, among the peers considered. They are one of the leading merchant banks in India with a market share of 12.1% based on the number of initial public offerings and qualified institutional placements undertaken by them as the book running lead manager in Fiscal 2024.
This deal is the first initial public offering by a pure play investment bank in India. The IPO was subscribed about 82 times and the QIB portion of the IPO was subscribed about 166 times at the end of the bidding period. Trilegal acted as legal advisors to DAM Capital and the selling shareholders. The Book Running Lead Manager is Nuvama Wealth Management Limited.
The transaction was led by Capital Markets Partner Abhinav Maker and comprised Ajo Jomy, Senior Associate; and Debarpita Pande, Ipsita Sahoo, and Hriti Parekh, Associates.
