Merger rollercoaster update

Trilegal advised Thriveni Earthmovers Private Limited, a leading mine developer and operator in India, on the proposed sale of a 50.01% equity stake in Thriveni Pellets Private Limited to Tata Steel Limited.

Upon completion of the transaction, Tata Steel will hold a majority stake in Thriveni Pellets, with the remaining 49.99% held by Lloyds Metals and Energy Limited, a leading metals and mining company. The transaction is subject to regulatory approvals.
