Trilegal advised the institutional investors of Varthana Finance Private Limited (Varthana) on the proposed sale of their entire shareholding in Varthana, as part of Home Credit India Finance Private Limited’s (Home Credit) proposed acquisition of Varthana. Home Credit is a member of the TVS Group.
Varthana Finance is a non-banking financial company that provides credit and financing solutions to educational institutions such as schools, colleges, vocational training centres etc. Upon the closure of this acquisition, Varthana will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Home Credit and a step-down wholly-owned subsidiary of TVS Holdings.
Trilegal advised the institutional investors on all aspects of the transaction, including drafting, negotiation and finalisation of the transaction documents, and continues to assist with the completion and closing of the transaction.
