Trilegal elects five counsels to partnership

Trilegal, one of India’s leading law firms, announced today that it has elevated five counsels to the partnership. With this, the partnership strength of the firm grows to sixty-three (63).

Commenting on the partner promotions, the management committee of Trilegal, Sridhar Gorthi and Nishant Parikh, said –

Ankit Kejriwal – Partner, Corporate Mumbai
Ankit concentrates his practice on public mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and restructuring transactions. He regularly represents strategic clients and private equity firms on a broad range of mergers, acquisitions, minority investments, joint ventures and dispositions across a wide variety of industries. He joined Trilegal in 2019 and has previously worked at two of India’s leading law firms. He is an alumnus of NALSAR (2011).
Gautam Chawla – Partner, Competition New Delhi
Gautam advises Indian and multinational clients on a wide range of competition law matters including complex merger control, restrictive practices, market dominance, cartel investigations, and competition compliance. He represents clients in contentious matters and regularly appears before the Competition Commission of India, the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, and the Supreme Court of India. He is an alumnus of the School of Law, Christ University, Bangalore (2011).
Jyotsna Jayaram – Partner, TMT Bengaluru
Jyotsna has transactional & advisory experience in the technology and telecom space. Her core areas of expertise include data privacy, telecom licensing, OTT services, digital communications, broadcasting and media laws, content regulation, IPR, payment and settlement systems, e-commerce, cybersecurity, outsourcing and commercial contracts. Jyotsna also works with domestic and overseas clients on a wide range of corporate matters in the TMT sector. She is an alumnus of the School of Law, Christ University, Bangalore (2011).
Pallav Shukla – Partner, Disputes, White-Collar Crimes & Investigations New Delhi
Pallav’s practice focuses on defence in anti-corruption and money laundering enforcement and debarment. He also represents clients in civil and criminal remedies for IPR infringement, data theft and cybercrimes. Pallav regularly conducts internal investigations, designs and implements whistle-blower programs and anti-corruption training modules. His practice also focuses on high stakes industrial and labour disputes. Pallav is an alumnus of Harvard Law School (2015) and ILS Law College (2010).
Yash Bansal – Partner, Asset Management and Funds Mumbai
Yash’s expertise includes advising on financial services, financial regulatory and securities laws, including inbound and outbound investment structures and strategies. In addition to advising general partners on the structuring and formation of investment funds and other asset management platforms, he has represented institutional investors, development finance institutions and family offices on their commitments to investment funds. He joined Trilegal in 2018 and has previously worked at leading law firms in India. He is an alumnus of NALSAR (2011).
