Trilegal invites Payel Chatterjee to join the partnership in the Dispute Resolution practice

18 April 2023: Trilegal, one of India’s leading law firms, announced today that its partnership has invited Payel Chatterjee to join the firm as a Partner in the Dispute Resolution practice in Mumbai and will focus on white-collar crime, investigations and international arbitrations. Upon her joining, the Partnership strength of Trilegal will reach 102.

About Payel Chatterjee (incoming Partner)

Payel Chatterjee has over 13 years of experience in dispute resolution, international arbitration, litigation and white-collar investigations involving financial crimes, bribery, corruption, and internal frauds. She has extensively worked on international projects involving cross-border elements and managing arbitrations and litigations across forums.

She was previously the Litigation Head (Corporate) at Adani Enterprises, where she routinely led the evaluation of pre-litigation strategies, supervised high-value complex litigation and arbitrations in international projects across the globe and worked closely on domestic (institutional and ad-hoc) arbitrations in various sectors. Prior to her stint with Adani Enterprises, Payel was a Leader with an Indian law firm in the international disputes practice.

She serves as an editor to the International Bar Association, Business Crime Committee and is Vice Chair, Steering Committee, International Chamber of Commerce Commission on Arbitration and ADR.
