Joining the firm’s Banking and Finance practice is Aditya Bhargava, an experienced and highly-regarded lawyer whose practice and expertise will perfectly augment the firm’s credentials in this space.
Bolstering the firm’s market-leading Capital Markets practice are Vijay Parthasarathi and Vinay Sirohia, who will join our Bengaluru office, giving the practice an unmatched pan-India presence and Murtaza Zoomkawala, who will be an invaluable addition to the team in Mumbai.

About the new partners
Aditya Bhargava is a leading practitioner experienced in debt resource raising by domestic financial institutions through debt capital markets (private placements), and structured finance and securitisation. He has worked closely with NBFCs as well as various up-and-coming NBFCs. Owing to his in-depth expertise, he has been recognised by leading legal directories, including as a “Recognised Practitioner” in Banking and Finance by Chambers and Partners in 2019-2021, a “Recommended Lawyer” by Legal 500 in 2024, “Notable Practitioner” in Banking and Finance by Asia Law in 2022- 2023 and by IFLR 1000 in 2021. Two of Aditya’s previous representations have been recognised as the “Most Innovative Deal of the Year” in the Indian Securitisation Awards in 2021 and 2023.
Vijay Parthasarathi is a seasoned capital markets lawyer with over 16 years of experience specialising in IPOs, QIPs, REITs, Rights Issues, domestic and foreign bond issues, public debt issues in India, and advising on flip structures for a potential India listing. He has deep relationships with marque clients and routinely advises clients across sectors, including technology, financial services, fintech, EV, retail and consumer, infrastructure, insurance, logistics, manufacturing, pharma and healthcare, real estate, and telecom. Vijay has been ranked by Chambers and Partners, 2024; as well as by IFLR 1000 over the years as a “Notable Practitioner” – Equity and Debt Capital Markets.
Vinay Sirohia is a distinguished capital markets practitioner in Indian securities laws. He is a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India and is a Solicitor (England and Wales). He has over 14 years of experience and has advised on various capital-raising transactions such as IPOs, QIPs, rights issues, domestic and foreign bond issues, and public debt issues, including several high-profile transactions. His expertise is spread across defense, energy, engineering, FIG, financial services, fintech, information technology, infrastructure, insurance, manufacturing, oil and gas, pharma and healthcare, real estate, retail, staffing, telecom, and textile sectors. He has been recognised as a “Key Lawyer” by the Legal 500.
Murtaza Zoomkawala is a leading capital markets practitioner with 10 years of experience in equity and debt capital markets transactions, regulatory matters, securities laws, and public mergers and acquisitions. Transactions he has led include equity public offerings, private placements, international and domestic debt offerings, equity-linked offerings of exchangeable and convertible bonds, and representing issuers on liability management transactions, which include tender offers of equity and debt securities. He also advises clients on takeovers, block trades, buy-backs, and issues relating to corporate governance, restructuring, insider trading, and other securities laws. Murtaza has been recognised as an ‘Up and Coming’ lawyer in Capital Markets: Equity by Chambers and Partners Global (2024) and Capital Markets: Debt by Chambers and Partners Asia Pacific (2023), apart from being recognised in various other reputed journals and rankings.
