Trilegal is representing Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) on its potential acquisition of identified assets, land and buildings, plant and machinery situated at General Motors India Private Limited (GM INDIA) manufacturing facility in Talegaon, Maharashtra. The parties have executed a binding term sheet on 13 March 2023, and transaction is subject to execution of definitive agreements and fulfilment of customary conditions precedent (including relevant governmental and regulatory approvals).
The deal is being led by our National corporate practice group head Yogesh Singh and Ankush Goyal (Partner) and deal team comprises of Dhruv Chatterjee (Counsel) and Nikhil Issar (Associate). Apeksha Mattoo (Partner, along with Raisa Pinto and Anish Malik) and Gautam Chawla (Partner, along with Ankush Walia, Madhav Kapoor and Akankshha Agrawal) advised on employment and competition law aspects.
The diligence also involved Siddharth Ranade (Partner), Sadaf Shaikh (Counsel), Nishi Bhankharia, Ritika Ajitsaria, Pallav Gupta, Harshit Goyal, Rohan Kohli, Satabdi Dash, Ayesha Alware, Raghav Bhargava, Sharul Jain and Aviva Jogani.
HMIL was internally led by General Counsel Yogesh Wadhwa and was assisted by Anil Kumar and Chinmoy Shah from the Legal Team and Vidya M V and Divya Venkat from the Secretarial Team.
