Deal: Trilegal advised shareholders on NSE’s INR 225.62 billion IPO

Trilegal advised on the initial public offering by National Stock Exchange of India Limited (“NSE“) of 126,436,650 equity shares, aggregating to Rs225.62 billion. The offering marks the largest initial public offering (“IPO“) in India year-to-date and the second largest IPO in India to date. NSE is also the largest stock exchange in India.

The IPO comprised a pure offer for sale by existing shareholders. NSE had a shareholder base of over 200,000 shareholders, who were provided an opportunity to participate as selling shareholders in the offer for sale.

Trilegal advised certain shareholders in connection with the IPO.

The IPO was managed by a syndicate of 19 book running lead managers.

The Trilegal Capital Markets team advising on the transaction was led by Partners: Richa Choudhary and Maitreya Rajurkar; and comprised Senior Associate: Sanya Chaudhari; and Associate: Siddhant Mishra.
