Trilegal enters GIFT City, strengthening its presence across India’s key financial and business hubs

24 Aug 2026

National, 24 August 2026: Trilegal, one of India’s leading full-service law firms, today announced the opening of its new office in Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), further strengthening the firm’s presence across India’s key financial and business centres.

The new office reflects Trilegal’s continued investment in areas that are increasingly central to India’s cross-border financial and investment landscape. As GIFT IFSC develops into an important hub for international financial services, the firm’s presence will enable it to work more closely with financial institutions, investment funds, corporates, intermediaries and other participants operating within the ecosystem.

Nishant Parikh and Sridhar Gorthi, Partners and Members of the Management Committee, Trilegal, said, “GIFT City is becoming increasingly important to how Indian and international businesses structure cross-border investments and financial transactions. Establishing a presence here is a natural extension of our strategy to stay close to where our clients are doing business and reflects our long-term commitment to an ecosystem that will play a growing role in connecting India with global capital.”

Pallabi Ghosal, Partner, Corporate (Asset Management and Funds) Practice at Trilegal, said, “GIFT IFSC is moving into a more mature phase, with fund managers and investors increasingly evaluating it as part of their broader cross-border structuring and capital deployment strategies. As the regulatory framework and product landscape deepen, having an on-ground presence will enable us to engage more closely on the structuring and regulatory considerations that underpin these decisions.”

Trilegal has been advising clients on a broad range of GIFT IFSC matters, drawing on its capabilities across banking and finance, capital markets, investment funds, corporate and M&A, financial regulatory, fintech and tax. Operating as part of Trilegal’s integrated national platform, the GIFT City office will work closely with teams across the firm to support domestic and international clients, while strengthening the firm’s presence in a market of growing importance to its clients.
